Uluru, the giant red rock in the heart of Australia, is drawn with smooth, rounded edges and long grooves running down its sides. In front lies open ground scattered with fluffy bushes, spiky grass tufts and pebbles. The thick lines and roomy shapes suit children about 2 to 5. Uluru is in the Northern Territory, Australia, and is sacred to the Anangu people. Give little ones a bright orange or red crayon for the rock and a dusty green for the plants. Prints on A4 or US Letter.

A wide desert plain stretches toward Uluru on this page, with the great rock resting on the horizon under four drifting clouds. Its surface is marked with long grooves and a deep hollow on the right side. In the foreground, two small trees, round shrubs, spiky grass clumps and smooth stones invite plenty of coloring. Ideal for kids around 5 to 10. Uluru stands in the Northern Territory, Australia, and seems to change color at sunrise and sunset. Try oil pastels and blend orange into red on the rock for a glowing sunset effect.

Fine lines trace every groove, crack and hollow of Uluru as it rises above a vast outback plain. The flat land between is dotted with dozens of small trees and shrubs that fade into the distance, while the foreground fills with leafy bushes, tall spiky grass and smooth boulders. Long, layered clouds cross the sky. A peaceful landscape for older kids and adults. The rock stands in the Northern Territory, Australia, far from any big city. Colored pencils in burnt orange, rust and sage, layered lightly, give the outback a warm, sunbaked feel.

Uluru, the great red rock in the heart of Australia's Northern Territory, glows on the horizon of this dense outback page. Its grooved flanks are filled with leaf-like patterns under a sky of wavy, dotted bands and a radiant sun. In front, a kangaroo stands alert beside a young kangaroo, a kookaburra perches on a branch, and spinifex grass, banksia cones and wildflowers fill every gap, framed by a flowering gum tree. Uluru is sacred to the Anangu, its traditional owners. For expert adult colorists: try burnt orange, ochre and deep red with fine-tip markers.
