Arc de Triomphe (easy)
easySeen straight on, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France, becomes a simple, friendly shape: one tall arch, a row of round shields along the top and two sculpted groups of figures on its pillars. Carved panels sit above them, and a rounded bush peeks out at each side. The thick outlines and wide spaces are made for children about 2 to 5. Napoleon ordered the monument in 1806 to honor his army. Give little ones a sandy beige for the stone and let them pick any color they like for the statues.
