Four tall, rounded spires with cross-shaped tips reach up from a pointed facade with a flower-like rose window, two round trees and soft bushes at its feet. This simple version captures the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, the basilica designed by Antoni Gaudí, where building began in 1882. The thick, clear lines leave plenty of room for little hands, ideal for children aged about 2 to 5. Grab chunky crayons in sunny yellow and orange for the spires, and a leafy green for the trees. Prints on A4 or US Letter.

Rising between puffy clouds, the four main bell towers of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, are dotted with tiny openings and topped with flower-shaped finials. The facade below shows statues in pointed niches, rose windows and steps leading to the doors, with leafy trees and tall cypresses in front and apartment blocks at the sides. Gaudí worked on this basilica for more than forty years. The level of detail suits kids aged about 5 to 10. Fine markers in sand, terracotta and turquoise make the towers look sculpted from warm stone.

Gaudí's Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, fills this page with its tapering towers, carved facade and crowd of small statues. Leafy branches frame the upper corners, rows of trees and spiky plants line the base, and a still pond at the bottom reflects the whole basilica in broken lines. Neighboring apartment buildings peek out on both sides. Fine lines and many small shapes make it a good fit for older kids and adults. Work in colored pencils, building the stone from cream to honey gold and saving soft blues for the sky and water.

Almost no white space is left on this expert page: the towers of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, crowd the frame, studded with openings, rosettes and flower finials, while carved figures, pointed arches and stained glass cover the facade. Leafy branches and palm fronds close in from the edges, and an iron railing guards the entrance steps. Consecrated as a basilica in 2010, it gives experienced adult colorists hours of absorbing work. Fine-liner pens in jewel tones like emerald, sapphire and ruby suit its stained-glass spirit. Prints on A4 or US Letter.
