Petra (easy)
easyCarved into a rocky cliff, this grand facade has two rows of columns, statues on pedestals, a round domed pavilion at the top and a tall doorway in the middle. It is the Treasury, or Al-Khazneh, at Petra in Jordan, cut straight into the sandstone by the Nabataeans about 2,000 years ago. Thick, clean outlines make it a good fit for children aged about 2 to 5. Rosy pink and peach crayons will give the stone the warm color that earned Petra its nickname, the rose city.
