Alhambra (easy)
easySquare towers with notched battlements, tiled roofs, a little bell tower and a row of arched windows sit on a hill behind tall cypress trees and round bushes. Mountains line the horizon under a simple sun and two clouds. This is the Alhambra in Granada, Spain, a palace and fortress whose name comes from the Arabic for the red one. Big shapes and thick outlines make it easy for children aged about 2 to 5. Use crayons in warm pinks and oranges for the walls and dark green for the cypresses.
