Short answer: ColorBliss is the better pick if you want many art styles, text prompts as well as photos, and printed coloring books shipped in the US or Canada. Coolorio, our own site, is the better pick for a family keepsake page: four levels by age, a PDF with name and photo date, a free first page and stated photo deletion.
Coolorio is the site you are reading, so we have tried to keep this fair. Our notes on ColorBliss come from its public pages as we checked them at the end of October 2026. Prices and plans change often, so check the ColorBliss pricing page before you decide.

What ColorBliss does well
ColorBliss does a lot more than photos. You can type a prompt, convert a photo or a child's drawing, make word art, or create a name page. Its roughly 20 named styles give you real creative range, from Manga to Realistic Person. If you want to invent pages, not only convert photos, it covers that and Coolorio does not.
It also sells printed custom coloring books. When we checked, books came stapled, perfect bound or coil bound in 8.5 x 11 inches, with a full-color cover, a title, a subtitle and a dedication, and an emailed proof before printing. They shipped to the US and Canada only. Coolorio does not print or ship books.
ColorBliss has a large help center with advice on which quality to use for pets, faces and group photos, and a "Magic Color" preview that shows the page colored in.
For pricing, ColorBliss offered subscriptions from $9 a month (Starter, 250 credits) up to $99 a month (Business), and credit packs with no subscription: 500 credits for $25, 1,000 for $45 and 2,000 for $80, expiring after six months of inactivity. A photo conversion uses several credits, and the number depends on the quality you choose. There was also a 7-day money-back guarantee.
What Coolorio does differently
Coolorio does one thing: it turns a family or pet photo into a page that looks like the people and animals in it, at a level that suits the age of the person coloring. Simple has big shapes for toddlers. Expert has very fine lines for adults and A3 prints. Our guide on what detail level does to a photo coloring page shows the four levels side by side.
The page is laid out as a keepsake. The PDF comes in A4, US Letter or A3, with an optional title, a "Colored by" name and age stamp, the date the photo was taken, and a small color guide. Pages stay in your library so you can print them again.
The first page is free at full quality, with no card. Paid page packs are coming soon, while the site finishes its launch.
Coolorio also has a free library of over 600 printable pages, each at four levels, with no sign-up and no display ads. And it runs in five languages, with the page title, stamp and date available in the language you pick.

Frequently asked questions
Is ColorBliss free?
Partly. At the end of October 2026, new ColorBliss accounts started with free credits, and a no-signup demo allowed one photo every 24 hours. The pricing page had no free plan, and regular use needed a subscription or a credit pack.
Does ColorBliss print physical coloring books?
Yes. When we checked, it printed custom coloring books in 8.5 x 11 inches with several binding options, shipping to the US and Canada only. Coolorio gives you a print-ready PDF that you print at home or at a print shop.
How many detail levels does each tool offer?
ColorBliss describes its range as simple to intricate, with about 20 named styles. Coolorio offers four levels, Simple, Medium, Detailed and Expert, each meant for an age group, from toddlers to adults.
Which one is better for privacy?
We could only compare what each states. ColorBliss's marketing pages linked to a privacy policy without a photo retention period. Coolorio states that photos are stored in Sydney, deleted after 7 days and never used to train AI. Read both policies before uploading photos of children.
