Three horns, a frilly collar and a big happy smile: this baby triceratops is all set for coloring. It stands on four chunky legs with rounded toes, and a few spots decorate its back. The page has no background, just thick outlines around large, simple areas that toddlers and preschoolers aged about 2 to 5 can fill with ease. Grab crayons in sunny yellow for the body and orange for the frill, then add purple spots for a playful finishing touch.

Under two puffy clouds and a smoking volcano, a smiling triceratops wanders across a grassy plain. Its wide frill has bumpy edges, it carries two long brow horns and a short nose horn, and round spots dot its back. Grass tufts, a large leafy plant, rocks and pebbles complete the scene without crowding it. It is a good match for kids aged about 5 to 10 who are ready for a little more detail. Use colored pencils in blue and teal for the body, then a warm orange on the frill to make the horns stand out. Prints on A4 or US Letter.

Standing near a lake at the edge of a prehistoric forest, a realistic triceratops faces the viewer with its horns pointed forward. The bony frill and thick body are covered in pebbled scales, and its hooked beak and wrinkled legs are drawn with care. Tall palm trees, conifers, ferns and broad leaves surround it, while a waterfall tumbles from cliffs and a mountain peak rises behind. Older kids and adults will appreciate the fine lines and complete landscape. Earthy tones work beautifully: layer ochre, sienna and moss green with pencils, keeping the horns a creamy ivory.

A triceratops strides through a prehistoric jungle, its broad frill covered in leaf and teardrop motifs and its two long brow horns pointing forward above a shorter nose horn. Scaly skin, a hooked beak and chunky toes add plenty of texture. Monstera leaves, ferns, hibiscus blooms and spiral fronds pack every corner, with a waterfall and a patterned sun peeking through at the top. Built for expert adult colorists who enjoy dense detail. Work the dinosaur in earthy olive and ochre, and let the jungle glow in layered greens with fine-liner accents.
