Ready to stomp and smile, a cartoon T. rex stands on two sturdy legs with tiny arms raised and a big toothy grin. There is no background at all, just one large, friendly dinosaur outlined with thick, smooth lines. That makes it a great first dinosaur page for little ones aged about 2 to 5, who can color the whole body in a few bold sweeps. Try a bright green for the body and a pale yellow for the belly, or let your child invent a rainbow dino.

With a volcano puffing smoke behind it, a grinning T. rex strides across a prehistoric landscape. Small spikes run down its back and tail, its mouth is wide open to show rows of pointy teeth, and its little clawed arms are held up in front. Around it you can spot palm trees, leafy bushes, rocks, pebbles and distant hills under fluffy clouds. The clear outlines and moderate detail suit kids aged about 5 to 10. Colored pencils in orange and red for the lava, with plenty of greens for the plants, make the dinosaur stand out. Prints on A4 or US Letter.

A powerful T. rex steps onto rocky ground in a dense prehistoric jungle, jaws open and claws spread. Its skin is covered in fine scales and its legs show strong folds and sharp talons. Behind it, a waterfall pours into a lake, a volcano sends up smoke, and palms, ferns and large leaves fill every corner. This full scene with fine lines suits older kids and adults who enjoy realistic wildlife pages. Build depth with layered colored pencils: olive and khaki on the dinosaur, darker greens in the foreground and lighter blues toward the waterfall.

Scales, swirls and petal patterns cover a T. rex from snout to tail on this dense page. The dinosaur grins with sharp teeth while its clawed arms reach forward, and its legs and hips are decorated with mandala-like bands. A smoking volcano, a waterfall, palm fronds, monstera leaves, ferns and hibiscus flowers fill the jungle setting right to the edges. It is designed for experienced adult colorists who love zentangle-style detail. Fine-tip markers work best here; try a jewel palette of emerald, sapphire and amber, giving each pattern band its own shade.
