Big eyes, a gentle smile and a curly tail make this seahorse a sweet first coloring page. It stands upright with a wavy crest down its back, a striped belly and a fan-shaped fin, next to wavy seaweed, a branching coral and a few smooth stones. The thick outlines and roomy shapes are made for toddlers and preschoolers aged about 2 to 5. Try a sunny yellow seahorse with orange stripes, using chunky crayons.

Floating among bubbles, a pretty seahorse with long eyelashes curls its tail into a neat spiral. Its scalloped back ridge, striped belly and fan fin are easy to follow, and the sea floor below has tall seaweed, branching coral, a dotted starfish, a scallop shell and pebbles. Children around 5 to 10 will find enough detail to keep them busy. With watercolor pencils, try a pink and lavender seahorse against a pale blue sea, letting the colors blend softly. Prints on A4 or US Letter.

Drawn in a realistic style, this seahorse shows its ringed, bony body, a spiky crown, a long snout and a finely ribbed fin, with its tail wound into a tight spiral. Around it grows a lush reef: branching corals, tall kelp, a cluster of tube sponges, a sea anemone, brain coral and a scallop shell, with bubbles rising past its head. The fine lines suit older kids and adult colorists. Use colored pencils in golden orange for the seahorse, adding brown dots on each body ring.

Packed with flower motifs, dots and scalloped bands, a large seahorse curls its tail in front of a reef filled to every edge. Two striped angelfish and a speckled fish swim nearby, while seaweed, corals, tube sponges, a starfish, a spiral shell and scallop shells crowd the background. It is a long, relaxing project for experienced adult colorists. Gel pens in jewel tones, such as emerald, sapphire and amethyst, make the tiny patterns shimmer against a softer turquoise background.
