Next to a simple fir tree, a fluffy bear cub turns to smile at you, with round ears, a little tuft of fur on its head and a stubby tail. A stone and tufts of grass sit at its feet. The outlines are thick and the shapes large, perfect for children aged about 2 to 5. Chunky crayons in honey brown for the cub and deep green for the tree make it quick and satisfying to finish.

In a forest clearing, a big friendly bear with shaggy fur stands near a gently flowing stream. A tall leafy tree, pointed pine trees, a mountain, bushes, rocks and grass complete the scene. Clear outlines with some fur texture make it a good fit for kids around 5 to 10. Colored pencils in two browns, one light and one dark, let them add a bit of shading on the bear's back and legs. Prints on A4 or US Letter.

Stepping onto a rocky riverbank, a powerful bear looks straight ahead, its thick fur drawn stroke by stroke and its long claws resting on the stone. Behind it, cascades tumble into the river, tall pines line the banks and jagged mountains rise above a lake, while wildflowers and leaves fill the lower corner. A rich scene for older kids and adults. Layer colored pencils from tan to dark chocolate on the fur, keeping the water light blue and white.

Fur made entirely of leaf patterns gives this forest bear a striking, tapestry-like look as it walks toward you with claws spread. Dense ferns, berries and flowers crowd the foreground, while waterfalls, a winding stream, rounded stones, tall pine trees and a sun peeking over the mountains fill every remaining space. Created for experienced adult colorists. Fine-tip markers in autumn tones such as rust, ochre and forest green give the page a warm, cozy finish.
